The Cove is a beautiful and haunting love story about a young girl who lives in a mountain cove that townspeople think is cursed. They think the same of her as she has a purple birthmark on her shoulder, which to some symbolizes the mark of the devil. She lives an isolated life until a mute stranger comes to the cove and sparks fly between the two. It is a suspensful read that you may believe is predictable throughout until it comes to an unexpected dramatic ending. Beautifully written and highly recommended.
