If you haven’t read Snow Falling on Cedars yet…why not? It is a brilliant mixture of murder mystery, romance, courtroom drama as well as the historical element of World War II internment of Japanese-Americans. An accurate portrayal of life on an island in the Puget Sound this story will capture you and draw you into the rich storyline. Even if you have seen the movie it is highly recommended to the read this book which is far better at capturing the true layers of each characters far better than the movie was able to do.
